Therefore we use Internet tools like email and web based project management system a to communicate better, keep track about communication and achive maxium productivity.
Small business initial set up
Initial QuickBoks & Bookkeeping set up is very important. When you start a small business don't wait till the end of the year. We can set up your QuickBooks accounting for you. It will reflect your business and you can start it for entering transactions or printing checks.
Based on your type of business we will try to create effecient system for our work together. We will set up Basecamp project management account with instructions, how to deposit checks, reconcile accounts, etc. We will need your cooperation on those. Implementing certain procedures will mean substantial long term savings for your company.
How to work efficiently together
1. We currently support only QuickBooks Online edition.
The reason is that QB Online Edition will allow us very easy Accountant access to your QuickBooks program.
The accounting access is free and is already included in your QB Online subscription.
We will be able to do any work anytime we need without interrupting your work. This is really important and this is why we
insist that our clients use QuickBooks Online Edition. If you use regular QuickBooks you can transfer to QuickBooks online.
2. Online Bank Statements
When doing reconciliation of accounts we prefer to have your bank statements emailed to us. It is much better than faxing,
because faxing can make copies not very legible and it can slow us down. For example you can set up access on our bank or PayPal
account that we will be able to see statements and transactions without authorization to do any transactions. This is our recommended model for very efficient work.
3. Know what you are spending
It is important that you keep your accounting as simple as possible. Do not use your company credit card for personal spending and vice versa.
Know what you are spending for. Let's say if we do credit card reconciliation for you and ask what the certain charges are for, please find out
and email us back quickly. This will really help us to be as much efficient as possible.
4. Communication
Fast and traceable communication is the key. We prefer if you can send us all important instructions, requests and information by email.
It will make easier for us not to forget to follow up on your request.
